It is our goal in HopeKids to show children the immensity of Jesus’ love, to teach them His Word and how to apply it to their daily lives, and to encourage them to show love to others. We have so much fun together. It is our true joy to spend time with them, serving them and loving them in Jesus’ name.
How we do things:
Children are divided into three groups in HopeKids: Nursery, Preschool, and Children’s Church. Nursery is for children birth to three years old. Within this group, toddlers break out for a lesson and game session. Preschool is for children ages three to five. Children’s Church is for all elementary aged children, K-5th grade. This age group begins worship in the Big Room with parents and is dismissed after announcements to Children’s Church. These students worship together through skits, games, and songs in a big group setting before meeting in small grade level groups for discussion and application.
We are currently using the curriculum Orange. The mission of Orange is to combine the two primary influences that impact a child’s life: the light of the church and the love of the home. The Orange strategy teaches children to see Jesus for who He is, see themselves the way God sees them, and love others the way He does. This curriculum extends from birth through high school, aiming to prepare children for personal ministry as they enter college.
